Biography
I was born and spent my formative years in the Falls road area of Belfast. I have been living in Newry County Down since the early 1970s. I have been writing poetry, short stories and non fiction for 30 years. I have had poetry and short stories published, including 4 self published collections. I had a collection of poems, Harvest Soul published by Sessyu Press in 1998. I have undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in the Humanities including a Degree in English Literature. In 2016 some of my poems were featured by Poetry NI and the Cringe Arts blog. A new collection of my poetry, For those left behind will be published in July. These poems focus on the political conflict here (the troubles') in the north of Ireland. Apart from writing my main interests are: rock music, reading, the arts and activism.

Hello Seán, Welcome to WoL. Your poem Street Life immediately drew my attention as it speaks of countless thousands of similar faces. One in particular comes to mind of a man I have come to know who sits outside my local supermarket asking for help. You have described him well. Thank you for this. Keith
