I am a simple old lady who self-isolates all the time...not a fan of the world I live in...have 2 rescue cats who are my world. They wake me at 4:00 to eat, so I have lovely early a.m. time of peace to write. Have written poetry all my life. My work appears in thousands of places. I am an animal advocate a peace worker and many other hats.

So many fists beat me down so many ugly words made me drown in waves of pain as high as a mountaintop while I curled and begged, please stop Life for me is a thorny bush of trials as I travel oh, so many hurtful miles Each time a triumph seemed to be mine, at the end there was always a warning sign Now my years are winding slowly away I take note of everything that came in play Whenever life knocked me down, I rose again and again - determined that I would win I am the river that would keep on flowing round boulders, whatever it took to keep going I smile to myself as I remember those years, ******************************************************* Father sun awakened me with his warm kiss and I flowered My sister, the moon leaned in to give me butterfly kisses on my cheek She who is mother holds my cradle and offers me to the world as a gift
