Biography

What's up, My name is SoulReal. I started writing to express how I felt and dealt with life-changing experiences growing up in the projects. I started writing rap lyrics and poetry when I was 12 years old. To this day, I enjoy sharing my story and life experiences to encourage people from all walks of life. Writing has always been therapeutic; it has saved my life. Throughout my life, I have met several remarkable people who have helped me and taught me that my upbringing does not determine my path. It is the choices I make along my journey. I am soul blessed, and in return, I love to be a blessing to others. I am living life fully in the Write-Way! Favorite Quote "I have learned that people forget what you said, people forget what you did, but people will NEVER forget how you made them feel." ~Maya Angelou

Wait

If I was given a nickel, a dime for every time I rushed the wait My currency exchange for instant gratification would make cent$ There is no coin for a quick cure Time is the painkiller There are no detours Silence is the silver lining of hope My being is busy, and my sit still is broke My wait panhandles on the street corner of life, I can't afford patience I am not soliciting for money, just a little bit of time
