Biography

Sue Birchenough lives in Buxton, and is often in Manchester. She writes experimental Poetry, including visual Poetry. Published in English PEN anthology 'Catechism', Like This Press anthology 'Austen Bronte and Shakespeare', Knives forks and spoons anthology 'Yesterday's Music Today', and Arachne press anthology 'Dusk'; Online in: Red ceilings, Street cake, Ink sweat and tears, m58, zimZalla, B S Johnson journal, and Shufpoetry. 'housework' is available from Kfs press. 'footnotes: this tool does not provide' is forthcoming from kfs press. She was Highly Commended in 2014 Erbacce International poetry competition. Her avant poetry object 'takeaway britain' was exhibited at the Saison Poetry Library in London over summer 2016. She had a poem exhibited in a light box as part of 2017 Blackpool Illuminations. She had a poem in the Solstice Shorts Festival 2017.

Matisse on the South Bank something about the sword swallower reminds me of maybe: warmleanbonebeardgrown, spilt a cup of hot tea - the blisters took weeks to get right, she tells me the carriage fills up like streets the window is spattered but speed’s only fun if you feel it damp sun torn gritstone : “mum”
