Suffolk Poetry Society

Information

Suffolk Poetry Society hosts a wide variety of poetry events throughout the county. We organise the prestigious annual George Crabbe Memorial Competition and support poetry cafés in many Suffolk towns, although they are all independent of SPS. We celebrated our 60th anniversary in 2012 and held our first festival focussed on Suffolk poetry in 2014. The festival is now held annually on the last Saturday of May at the John Peel Centre in Stowmarket. We also became a charity, No. 1162298, in 2014.
