Biography
Thommie has been performing poetry for several years and is currently the writer-in-residence for Bath Artist Studios. She lives in Bath but gigs all over and holds the title Bard of Bath 2008. Shortlisted for the Bridport prize 2010 Thommie also writes for the page and is a seasoned performer. Thommie runs workshops in poetry, performance poetry and performance for all ages. She is qualified PGCE secondary English and has a Masters in Teaching Creative Writing from Cardiff University. She is ridiculously excited to have found this site and be able to connect with other poets and writers!

Coffee Cat This is not a short story in fact it is not a story at all: just a sad glimpse at a life of whisky and shortbread and one night stands. He told me when we went to bed about his Coffee Jealous Coffee, Coffee Cat he'll sleep on you if you sleep with me. I was not surprised when I woke with a hangover and a cat on my head. I was surprised when I realised it was dead.

I am not partial to lower-case compositirtions, but in this case I make an exception. Alan is a poet of profoundity and takes his craft seriously. These samples are wonderful poems that desrve a wide audience that will understand what poetry is.
