Trevor Carter (The Bard of Windmill Hill)

Biography
Trevor Carter is more widely known as The Bard of Windmill Hill. He has been poet in residence of the popular Bristol based variety show Lansdown Cabaret since 2008. He has appeared at numerous festivals around the country. He has gigged with the comedy legend Les Barker and his show at Warwick Folk Festival in 2014 was hailed as 'Wit and social comment in ideal combination'. In February of 2014 he became the first poet to win the prestigous Bristol storytelling slam, thereby becoming Bristol Storyteller of the Year. As well as cabarets he performs at festivals, arts trails, pubs and churches. Films based on his poems, such as 'Afghanistan' and 'Cityscape' (about Banksy) have won commendations at film festivals. He has written three books, the current one 'Taking Stock' is available from Foyles in Bristol.
