Choke on Your Hate, Drown in the Truth
Let them burn the books. Let them fire the teachers. Let them outlaw the telling of what was written in blood, etched into courthouse steps, whispered in fields where bodies still rest beneath the soil. Let them try to erase it with laws and threats, with silence dressed up as civility, with hands clenched so tight around their history that even they can’t breathe. Portion of a longer work.
