Biography

Hello there, I have only just started writing poetry. I live in a remote ashram community in Portugal but I am originally from Manchester, UK. My poems started blossoming spontaneously a few months ago after clear insights about enlightenment, life, family and God. Most of my poems are based on my difficult relationship with my mother, and in writing at night, the dark emotions are somehow being healed. The more I write, the more I can look at the past with some distance and heal the wounds caused by generations of women in my family and the war stories told me as a child about the atrocities in the Siberian Gulag prisons during WW2. I hope to also write about more joyful topics as they come, but I can only write when emotions are pouring out. Let's see what happens.....
