How far does your love go?
Spitting viscious, bitter words
through thinned lips and gritted teeth.
Do you love me now?
Glinting, narrow eyes
boring into yours and making you wince,
silently accusing you of not caring enough.
Do you love me now?
Withdrawn and cold,
turning my back on you again.
Leaving you longing for affection.
Do you love me now?
Manipulating and coercing
to get my own way, suiting myself
and still never satisfied.
Do you love me now?
Burying my head in the sand
and forcing you to take charge,
knowing you struggle alone.
Do you love me now?
Do you love me now?

I wouldn't think so - since the writer is obviously aware of exactly what's happening. I presume this is someone trying to give someone else the heave-ho by pressing responsibility on the other party to make the first move. It is well written, cold and calculating.
