A Haunting Fantasy
A Haunting Fantasy
Deep inside I scream to escape the silence of my own voice
The words I long to speak I drowned out by the sound of your own decaying being
You drove me to the point where I could only fear you, your love delved deep inside my stone cold heart for as before I only ever wanted to please to anoint thee
Your presence was what I craved
You became and were once a drug a kiss from your lips
Satisfied my simple need
But it became the poison that broke me
So once more I became the darkness longing to escape
Then out came the truth
The heartbeat silenced the blood that passed through me cold
The undead is where I laughed where the ravens cackled
The stars became the dust
The forest was my tomb
Alone as I wandered
Tired of the fighting
I walked away with the sun,
Fear within me
Then a song, a tune I played upon my fiddle
A haunting fantasy is what I called it
And broke free of the bonds that kept me to thee
A whispering parting gift I left upon you
I am free
I am free
A haunting fantasy
No more fear within me
The stars shine bright
The forest became me
The thunder a friend
The raven a lover
Darkness fell
But I shone
A haunting fantasy
One day to finally become
What I want and long to be
