It were nowt but a dream

Sun drenched

Pitiless blue skies

Greeted

Good Friday morning

Felt a strong desire

Acted upon it

Rang my bossom pal

"Sorry unavailable" the answerphone blurted

Gambled

Ventured out to her resting place

Saw a notice pinned on the headstone

Reading

Sorry I'm not in

Rather busy today

_ gathering wildflowers in the meadows

_ rehearsing songs on hill tops

_ reciting poetry in the coppice

_ dancing on the island on the lake

Unlikely to be .................

Suddenly I wakened ringing wet

Perchance the Easter Story

Resurrected

It were nowt but a dream

Beautiful poem.

Resurrected to do wonderful, meaningful things.
