Canvas
A canvas was given to do with as you like
An empty page given for you to behold your insight
To lay down your visions and secret desires
Only to him to be revealed
The canvas before one’s eyes
Empty was it received
Endless possibilities, not set in stone
Many came and left their marks
Some everlasting beauty while others stains
Many fingers but not the same hand
Some gentle while others rough
Bruises experienced, and scars left
Some brought darkness, while others light
Adventures recorded, and challenges recalled
Victories illuminated, fears cancelled out
Dropped and thrown around several times
Its edges worn out and few tears visible
The building of its character
Some stains permanent while others easily removed
The finesse of others, the attention to details
The splashes of colour by others
The staining that began even before awareness
The disregard of the few
The appreciation of the many
The value placed by some
All in the name of love
