Blind to it all
Time wasted, words lost
Laughter subdued, all in the name of friendship
Many say it, yet few do it
Walk away, let it go
Deep inside you know the truth
The one you can’t deceive is you
Out of sight out of mind is the saying
Ears shut to the cries of many
Eyes closed so as to ignore the pain of others
Arms clenched in readiness of survival
Hearts cold, selfishness at the centre
The seasons that have passed
The doors that have been opened and shut
The opportunities that have been lost
The dreams that have faded with time
The wonderings of those that cared
The pondering of those that sort a change
The ideas that were never heard
The passion that was never seen, rather ignored
The self-sacrifice that went unregarded
The labour of love that was abused
The using of those that cared
All in the name of one’s progress
Wishing to understand the games that are played
To unveil the truth behind the lies
Wondering how being the source of hurt improves you
Yet in fact it devalues you
Don’t you see the trail of tears that you have left behind
The wounded hearts that others now must bind?
Where is your divinity in all of this?
The life that resides in you, freely given
Why do you act like a pig, whilst you are a king?
Staining yourself with that which is not compatible to you?
Why do you choose not to listen to your guide?
His voice so clear but muffled with your worldly cares
