The Successor
There’s a strong dark prince that comes in the night,
And he comes for me, and I feel relief.
There’s a strong dark joy that should not be had,
But he comes for me, and I am at peace.
A darkness has spread the world over,
Yet I quiver with excitement, guiltily and gleefully, submerging him in my absolute pleasure.
The stranger that’s come is intriguing and new,
And he embraces me, and I feel safe.
The stranger is foreign, as all strangers are,
But I am at home when I’m in his arms.
A darkness has remedied me,
And I quietly contemplate, juxtaposed, mourning individuals less fortunate than I.
The darkness and light intertwine, blurring lines.
As they revel and scream, I feel born.
The darkness and light appreciate one another,
And they are not the same, co-existing no more.
A darkness has lifted from the world,
Farewell that heir to the throne – leaving valuable lessons to learn, let the world now follow her destiny.
