Angel Dad

No envelope today I have to seal.
That familiar sadness today I feel.
Today as always is bitter sweet.
The card I write is now complete.
I clear the grass where it's grown.
In the June wind it blows on stone.
I shed a tear and a few words I say.
I think 'if only' as Dads card I lay.
But in Gods wisdom it wasn't to be.
He decided one day to set Dad free.
Head bowed low, I walk away sad.
Happy Father's Day to my Angel Dad.
