Ladder of success
We all aspire to climb upon
a lucrative ladder of success,
of course, which is not a same
for all the climbers, of different pace.
The ladder is a mystic pyramid,
with a widest step at the base,
having the childhood friends, along with you,
as the stones of a structure of its case.
With a new strength, as you fly up and up,
you shall find different partners,
on each step, each occupying its place,
making you fill up a vacant space,
vacated by your predecessor,
that has climbed up a step or two upwards,
or downwards might have strated his race.
As you occupy a novel space,
no stone of a previous step is wrong,
to remain familiar, yet to be an alien,
because each of them has a duty to look after
the solidarity of the respective step.
They too, shall make new friends,
who shall be taking your place.
On each step, there is a new race,
new hard work, and new commitment,
new vision, new destination, and new challenges,
new rivals, new struggle, new blows as well.
The topmost step is made up of a lone stone,
to be it if you are fortunate.
The most blessed are those at the base,
who always have more perpetual friends,
hence, no issue if you fell from anywhere
because you shall get more of them, again!

You are true, M.g.
Success is both a boon and a curse.
It brings visible happiness and more invisible blows.
Both success and failure come with dynamic colours, which eventually shall fade away, in either case.
The poem is to state the same.
Actually, in the end, it celebrates a failure more than a success, if it's decoded properly.
The person who has ridden upon both of the tides shall better understand the theme.
It's message is to proceed without any expectations because you shall remain static by travelling an either way.
Thanks for an elaborate comment and a like!
