Breathless
Breathless
Write out loud,
Write out as loud as you can,
Write what?
We all have something to say,
We all have unique expression to this human experience,
And while the lungs fill and the tongue wags,
Exhalation of air is another solitude lost.
Why when lonely within six billion people
Do we never find any soul that could hasten
Our understanding of life?
Why, when memory befuddles each priceless oath,
Do we sit as monarch upon porcelain thrones,
Only to think for once without discordant tones
That we ‘never,’ truly admire the expansive –
We have,
Are we only of carbon, water and hope,
Are we only of lottery while
The kids in shanghai, beg education
For a once last chance?
One last chance!
One last chance to acknowledge each others
Presence without boasting who’s best,
One last chance would you take it,
Make it your own for goodness sake,
One last chance to acknowledge one mouth,
One last chance to relieve heaven of fears
For ears there be two,
And tears be lost for all times,
If listening comes idle for each casualty confused,
An Earth drowning on sorrow,
Saving the human that bruised.
Take deep breaths and admit with stark wit,
Only The SETI has the skill to listen,
Yet they may turn their back,
Shaking wise crowns,
Crowns we once covered in thorns,
Sad in their efforts as angels,
To educate Earth still projecting –
The selfish we are;-
For better Earth lost,
Than the robbing of universe
For Mankind’s greed.
