Fallow empty cold

Ugly things.

The despised, feral

rancid vapid tepid

Broken things.

The ambitions

the contradictions.

that bastardise

humanity and 

kick human frailty.

Into damaged things.

To progress on

Imagined ladder

built on the rotten

Wood of greed.

Greed ugly creed.

For recognition

and blind ambition.

Riding the backs

like monkeys

of honest lives

clean minds.

Who just want to 

be still and live.
