Ravens

entry picture

The ghosts of white ravens fill the air like fragrant smoke.
Ethereal apparitions, ever higher they serenely soar.
Prophetic beauties, sacred creatures, declaimers of truth.
Singing a mellifluous melody, unrestrained and honey-soaked.
Poe’s melancholic elegy of his lost Lenore.
His solitary black raven’s mournful lament.
In requiem, these majestic corvids threnody.
My alabaster, ivory feathered wayfarers.
Moonlit messengers of our dearly departed.
Bestowing arcane knowledge on mortal souls.
Granting passage ‘tween the attenuated veil.
Singing a mellifluous melody, unrestrained and honey-soaked.
Apollo’s swift and silent messengers.
Odin’s eyes and ears, true and faithful.
Morrighan LeFay’s trusted familiar.
Emissary and herald, envoy and harbinger.
Intelligent, clever and cunning.
Mythical, mystical and magical.
Felicitous, devoted and ancient.
Singing a mellifluous melody, unrestrained and honey-soaked.
Prophetic beauties, sacred creatures, declaimers of truth.
The ghosts of white ravens fill the air like fragrant smoke.
Ethereal apparitions, ever higher they serenely soar.
