How Little
Life seems to have revealed itself to me in stages,
Presented its lessons at a time when I needed to learn them,
Laid itself bare and at the same time hidden its meanings,
And the one thing I’ve learned above all other things is how little I know,
And as we all step blindly forward on the crest of the ever passing moment,
And into the ever unfolding unknown,
The one lesson that has been most useful and I’ve held most dear,
Is how little I actually know,
Because to know that,
Is to be aware of how much I could learn.

Thank you Shifa, very much appreciated. I had such clear views of the world when I was young, I think maybe we all do. But as I got older, I realised that your perspective changes, and that you only thought what you thought because you hadn't put your ideas to the test of reality yet. I hope that makes sense? Life is ever changing and I think, for as long as we can change with it, we're ok. As soon as we can't, we're not.
