Dearest Sister
dearest sister
it's hard to admit that i've missed her
but it's been a long time since i've seen you
and i wonder what you're up to
Because we've lost contact i think up silly things i imagine you've done
walking around in the sun having fun
speaking to koalas or befriending kangaroos
the typical silly things that you do
You're having a great time
and by me this is fine
but it scares me that i wont be a part
in this chapter in your life
you'll look back into your the gallery of memories
from childhood victories
and adult flings
but i'm lost in all these things
I'm just brother
i might of been a bother
but i won't you to look back on my life
without a memory of strife
how about that time we started shouting out road signs to annoy mum
not the time i pushed you and you landed on your bum
or the time i twisted your arm all the way around
but time's we've made each other proud
must admit it's been pretty weird acting as an only child
I can't wait for you to get home
so i will no longer be lonely

Note: Well i planned on writing a poem about somebody murdering their family but it turned out to be one about me missing my sister. I have to say though, i am actually happy my sister is growing up and living her own life, it just wouldn't of been as interesting.

I really ehjoyed this poem Josh. I've never thought before about how it would feel to be the youngest child left at home when the older one goes off having adventures. (God, that sounds like an Enid Blyton story - if you've ever heard of her! but hopefully you know what I mean!) I'm an only child myself.
