Stillness
Stillness
Early morning as daylight heralds a new day
I sit alone in my pre ordained space
to be still in thought and prayer
as I contemplate and commune
with the essence of my being
where the Divine Spirit has made his home
In the background I play softly and
listen to Gregorian Chant or the
strains of Peer Gynt in the beauty
of the morning song
Peace becomes my spiritual companion
the world is stilled as heart and mind
fuse into a realm of tranquility
This time is is where the Spiritual
assumes its uninterrupted place in
the depths of my soul
A place where poetry is often composed
where the dead are recalled
oft with tears of
gentle remembrance
where those in adversity are prayed for
From these precious moments I
return to the day
refreshed in every way

A brilliant way to start the day and quite an atmospheric piece.
