Standing on concrete pavement

her eyes surveyed a double fronted shop.

Above the door

the sign said 'Peace.'

On entering

she browsed the shelves

found happiness

Searching through catalogues

found wisdom

and as she approached the counter

she found courage

With renewed strength

she walked away

hand in hand with serenity
