Butterfly
We met as caterpillars
The ground will separate us as chrysalis
Beautiful creatures we will then emerge
You’ll be a butterfly, astonishing beauty
You’ll fly to wonder nature
When will you land?
I’ve shown you views, top and bottom
Being a living, you’re fated to be a prey
Lizards and dragonflies trying to snatch you
Far distance and away places you’ll be
Over water, land, plants and in air you’ll fly
Where will you land?
This life could be a seasonal stay
Crawl with me branch to branch
Feed with me on every leave we find
We can’t know butterfly’s life till we turn
Destiny has its ways, but just give me signs
Would you fly knowing you may never land?
My exoskeletal casing needs time to peel
Please, be a little patient with me
My soul is overwhelmed by fear
I have lost a heart to earn yours
I’ll fix your wings when bended
Will you be there when I land?
