Pandemic Poetry

Hello,  Here is an ongoing series of poetry.  Please enjoy!

Damp, Cold Pacific Northwest Winter

So cold and sad, the air heavy with moisture

short gloomy days then night

dark times, dark thoughts

deep mountain snow

impending doom

fatal end which never comes

Somebody Lied Said I Died

As if the abuse of adolescence wasn't enough

when I got away from it all and was enjoying life

my mother called to check and see if I was alive

somebody back where I was from

where almost nowhere is

expessed sadness at my demise "out west"

laughing, I wonder when I will die next in the mind of the pathetic ones who raised me?

Challenged by the confused and confused by all the lies

Now we know the truth

that they were ignorant when they said

I don't know why it is, I just know that it is

from a childs mind I was confused by their nonsense

but truly they knew nothing

and they raised me to accept less as they were taught to do

I was supposed to be a confused byproduct of lies

and I know it

Some Loner’s Insight

Through dim light could be seen

a figure of some loner

high on this most remote ridge

moments passed, the loner spoke in rhythmic speech

wind muffled words of truth

I could not hear

What had been told

No scrap of gold

A truth to fold

The wind stole some loner’s insight
