Mom-No more

"Why mom is asleep dad?

why everybody is crying and looking sad?

I was repeatedly asking

I could see dad talking with tears

 

he embraced with love

I could understand little and believe

they all talked of Mom and her illness

but she was laid on the ground with the same smile on the face

 

people were sitting around with pin-drop silence

everybody was feeling tense

"Mom has gone to heaven"

never to come back again

 

I couldn't understand what was dad talking about!

but I started crying out

looking for Mom everywhere

she was to be taken for last rituals here

 

Your mother may watch you from the sky

she will speak to you and ask why?

you are not taking for studies

it did not carry any weight with me

 

I went out to see Mom above

drove desperately to see her

I believed she had become a star

a shining twinkling star
