She is trapped in this rainstorm

Holding her umbrella

looking at all these people

Why don't they have umbrellas

Are they not scared of the rain

I don't understand

I ask them if they are cold

They say it doesn't bother them

anymore

I offer them shelter under mine

They reassure me that they are not

cold

How do their clothes stay so dry

I look down to see

that I am somehow drenched in all of it

As if every cloud has found me

How did this happen

I made sure I would be okay

I thought if I could just stay out of

the rain

I would be okay

I should have stayed home

now they all know

Sir??

have you seen my umbrella?

I can't seem to find it anymore

I just had it

Thought I lost it during the storm

but it seems to have found you

What's it like?

under there

I hope it's better than the rain

the dampness the world told you

was love

I hope you feel safe

tucked away from everything bad

You deserve that
