Tangled
I swallowed whole,
the excess lies that spewed daily
from your mouth.
Believing every word you said,
Trusting it was truth.
As time went on your mask came loose,
Some days it totally slipped.
Small lies became much larger,
When challenged, you would flip.
Your words never matched your actions
and I wondered who you were.
The strange thing is as I ponder on,
I don't think you know who you are.
