Drunken Clarity
Champagne bubbles glimmer with promise with each burst Swishing gently and sweetly delighting Invoking an awakening, something exciting Slipping, sliding always gliding
A delicious, hysterical blindness, naked and raw Behind which lies a claw Collared but never leashed you continue to reach Never sure how long is the leash
Swimming in a mass of cumulous cloud Suffocating from the heavens Delirious, dizzy, drifting, blurry But in a shroud found but lost Holding on, holding at all cost
Chained to tresses that still hold you dear Wanting, needing to shield you from any new fear A solitary place but not alone On the palate the bubbles still tickle, tease Dancing freely, playfully, always at ease
