Past mistakes

I want to repeat past mistakes

and take on

with sincerity

and prayer to an almighty

 

that innocent smile

presenting distinct style

but projecting self before all

and call upon them to become a friend

 

I was no flirt

even though I wore a shirt

that had appealing postures

reminding me well about the future

 

no one took me seriously

and I could not speak openly

she waited for me to speak some words

but she heard it no more

 

my life, my dreams were likely to be dashed

and once for all finished

since then, I never recovered

settled in life and ushered in the new set-up
