Today, no calls to receive or make.

The sun needn't shine for my sake!

I'm staying in bed, curtains drawn.

A lazy lie in day, all snug and warm!

 

Leave my PJ's on, nowhere to go.

Avoid my razor, let stubble grow!

Just the TV for company, that'll do.

I’ll watch T.Rex and The Beatles too!

 

The bag of laundry will have to wait.

My breakfast in bed at half past 8.

In my County Road home, flat 12A.

That's where my car keys will stay!

 

Dark clouds they gather... let it rain.

I love that sound on a window pane!

Still not moved much, now gone 3.

This is just how retirement should be!
