dark demon

alien eyes

stare mine

advancing closer

nerves tighten

feeling foolish

spiky hedgehog

shuffles past.

I have experienced something like this, Nigel, and the poem really brings it home. 'Garden overgrown' has a worryingly familiar ring to it!
