For our future generation

To speak and write

to long for and ignite

to do nothing and fight

for rights without caring for duties

 

such is the human tendency

to care for self and family

to sacrifice nothing and ear handsomely

to laugh at others and remain ridden with jealousy

 

fertile lands turned barren

river beds empties and made open

water polluted, and toxics added

forests cut animals and eluded birds for nest

 

mountains made hollow

blocked river flow

air dangerously violated

land grabbed and barbed with fencing

 

we speak peace but show hostility

we talk harmony but threaten with ambiguity

what do we have for the future generation?

we have created politicians for our nations
