My beginnings are frantic and fraught

Ideas wild, untamed, unexplored

Fretted over, juggled and wrestled with

Battles with words, structure, themes

Wrangled, squeezed, changed

Trampled, shaped, honed

Polished, preened and shuffled

Finally caught and found right

From the wilderness finally emerges
