Jail for Jim, a lesson to be learnt
"Hello my name is Jim,was jailed at the age of eighteen,
Looking back, the crimes I committed were really mean.
Criminals locked up,don't all come out reformed,
I came out worst completely deformed !
Prison didn't help me correct my ways,
I learnt lessons from veterans that crime pays.
After two years inside serving my time,
I was set free to practice my education in crime,
Inside I learnt a lot from criminals who knew the lay of the land,
Willing to chat and pass on what they had learnt first hand.
Connecting with influential criminals while I was inside,
Opened up many criminal opporunities world-wide.
I was certainly on the way up the criminal ladder,
But three years on I am back inside feeling sadder.
On leaving the first time I hung round with the wrong crowd,
A lesson to be learnt, wrote this from Strangeways for Write out loud."
Regards Jim
