How do you get someone out of your head?

Do you lay down in bed and let them swirl

into a tempest, leaving you to drown?

Or is it more tempting to conjure up an umbrella

against the rains of regret?

If only I could reset my mind and forget,

but that would mean watching your sunset

colors fade to black.

And I don't think I have any colors left.
