It's madness for our politicians to ignore,

The increasing energy bills that pop through our door.

To read the gas bill, as I did this week, is not nice,

I felt as if I was gripped in a cost-of -living vice.

For us on modest and lower incomes,there is a financial fear,

With the average fuel bill rising to £2000 a year.

 

Big bills linning the pockets of dictators in Qator and the Kremlin ,we must delete,

The alternative, extracting the large quantities of energy lying beneath our feet.

The scary propoganda of the green lobby has created a financial crack,

Exaggerating the environmental dangers if we were to frack.

Exploratory drilling produced the mildest of tremors in the North West,

Barely registering on the Richter Scale test.

 

Instead of extracting the shale from our own lands,

We are destined to put billions into the importers hands.

In America the production of shale gas flowers,

Where gas prices are only 25% of ours.

Fracking in Lancashire, 75,000 new well paid jobs would take place,

And lower energy bills popping through our letterboxes we would face.
