Writing

The rules of writing are meant to be broken
the reader first shocked may throw the book
across the room or slam it down on the table
but later read again and read until the end
what is the writer saying the curious mind asks
and sees a glimmer of what? A truth never
before perceived the reader catches the meaning
an epiphany I never saw that but it’s right there
This writer and writing is changing the world
I have a new outlook I’m a better person
for reading from this day forward I go ahead
new cleansed with new perception The writer
writes on unaware of the small changes
in one mind daydreaming it may be so
and thinks with wonder of the changes within.
