Slumber

Let the sweet night descend upon you,

let the dark night wrap you in solace,

feel the breath of the wind cool on the body,

feel the softness of the twilight settling into peace.

There are no worries floating in the skies of slumber,

there are no sorrows dancing in the land of dreams,

all is wrapped in joy like a nestled babe,

all is steeped in fragrance like full bloom roses.

Oh, this day ends on notes harmonious!

Oh, this night begins on refrains glorious!

Peace, peace, peace,

blanketed in peace,

I bid you good night, my love, good night.

Sleep is a sort of solace.
