Invitation

Sometimes things swirl

like a swarm of buzzing bees,

sometimes things settle

like water trickling over stones.

Whatever comes your way,

this day,

remember the days are like seasons unto themselves--

wintry & frozen,

budding & embracing,

wilting & heavy,

free & uplifting--

let them all pass

like the comings & goings

of sun & moon.

Think not--

oh, I will forever be stuck

in this quagmire!

No-- things change,

things rearrange,

they sort themselves out

& set themselves free.

Watch the flowing of the tides

& know that all things move towards peace--

an invitation from eternity.
