Words
Ripples on the surface,
The undulating path in motion.
Fathoms of disruption,
Sounding from a deeper trench...
Navigation for the skilful,
Navigation by the brave!
Don't take these waters lightly,
For they'll sure an early grave.
So baton down ye flailing hatches,
Tie the second reef once and sure!
See the Lee light blink forgiveness,
Sail sure, sail certain, sail fast.
Calm now for the intrepid,
Calm now for the brave.
Be it but the surface,
For she stirs.. she stirs from deep within!

I very much enjoyed this poem. "baton down ye flailing hatches," was a particularly delicious line. 😀
