Past is history

Locked and concealed

It taught what was Meant 

It can never be retrieved 

 

Past is gone 

Never to return 

It'll never be same again 

Closed forever in life's book 

 

Past will never come 

It'll never repeat 

It's a game well played 

Scores always to keep 

 

Past can never be future 

It gives so much relief 

Never going back to what was 

Always moving on towards what's in store 

 

Past shouldn't be relived 

It's not worth it 

For who wants to live it twice 

No matter how good or vice 

 

Past is a chapter 

In the book of life 

Written and saved 

But never to be reread 

 

Past is over 

Present is a gift 

Which we open 

In future to live
