Life's Mysteries and Fears
Life's Mysteries and Fears
We walk through the maze of a mysterious life
treading carefully through dangerous mine fields
Confounded by darkness and swirling mists
We awake with trepidation and alertness
and enter the fray with pensive anxiety
Nothing seems to make any sense
Upside down and inside out
we are confused and riddled with doubts
Assailed by fact and fiction distorted by untruths
manipulators and cheats at every corner
Often alone we are fearful of any sudden noise
Dark forces surround and crowd about us
We seek security and solace
friends to hold and guide us
A light that will illuminate our path
a rock as our refuge from the storm
Then there is God

A fascinating piece, Keith. The conclusion is both comforting and devastating. Thanks for this.
