I Take Solace at Night
I love the solitude of the night
The chirpy sounds of those crickets
And the tick tick tick sound of the wall clock
The distant chattering of my neighbors
And the stillness of one's spirit.
My pile of books and jotters caused a paucity of space on my table.
The inscriptions on my wall
Those pen arts too, are so lovely
I take delight in them.
The darkness is scary in childhood
but in my adulthood, I embrace nature's gift.
The night is like a mother to me, she brings to me great thoughts for dinner.
And insights for refreshments.
Sometimes I sit close to the window and watch how the stars gossip.
The dark gray color of the night blends with my skin, and I hibernate in the depth of my thoughts.
Those wild fantasies I've always harbored are like fairies, they fly around my head like a crown of halo.
But sometimes, the night is accompanied by sadness,
gloom-ness
And recollections of emotions.
The darkest night might provide the greatest joy.
I take solace at night.
The End.
