Wintertime Gloom
Each day passes faster and faster
The hours of daylight are mere
Mornings are dim and hustled, out the door before day truly breaks
Task after task the workday takes control
Steering the ship until the horizon finally appears
Quickly the light is goneĀ and another long night starts
Mind and body ready for slumber
While the clock appears as if the evening is still young
It becomes harder each day to push the constant gloomy feeling away
Hoping for the days that you could smile at the morning sun
And wave it goodnight after the hours passed
This season makes you dream of light and warmth
Like all good things, time truly heals
