An 85 year old lady did not turn her heating on due to a fear of high bills,

Unfortunately due to the cold spells,into her body hypothermia spills.

Fixated by high energy bills her heating was turned off,

Hypothermia crept in leading to pneumonia and a severe cough.

   

Last week I got a gas bill estimate of 1600  quid,

Checked my recent meter reading,glad I did.

Turned  out the reading  was just half that amount,

A payment of 800 quid fully cleared my account.

 

High heating bills are affecting us more being old,

As we spend more time at home fighting the cold.

I sit on my stool right next to my blow heater,

Central heating turned off to bring down the reading on my meter
