Today I put everything to one side.
My feelings, I try my best to hide.
'Mike is quiet today' some might say.
'Michael's not his usual self today'
And that would be true, I can't deny.
It's a 'Miss Mum day' the reason why.
These days appear, out of the blue.
There's no way of telling if one is due.
I miss Mum eveyday, that's for sure.
But today I miss her, that little bit more.
