entry picture

The day when you don’t kiss me I shall starve,

and if you should dismiss me I should starve.

If I wake one frozen dawn

to chilly winds and find you gone

I’ll lose the will to carry on.

I’ll curl up in my lonely bed and starve.

And if you didn’t care for me I’d starve.

And if you were not there for me I’d starve.

With you not doing what I don’t ask:

putting coffee in my flask

and scores of other loving tasks

to set me on my way, then I should starve.

And if you never smiled at me I’d starve.

And if you’d not walk miles with me I’d starve.

If we didn’t take our leisure

in the hills and share our pleasure

watching nature's finest treasures

dance before our eyes, then I would starve.

And if you wouldn’t play with me I’d starve.

And if you turned away from me I’d starve.

And if you didn’t arrange fresh flowers,

clean the house for hours and hours,

bake me cakes using superpowers

then do the washing up, I’d surely starve.

I’d surely starve,

I’d surely starve.

If you didn’t feed me with your love.

If you didn’t feed me with your love.

Thanks Keith & Uilleam. Indeed, I am fortunate too!

Than you Tim.
I take unasked for love and care too much for granted-I am fortunate indeed.💓
