Only awareness is there,  

In the depths of our being,  

Silent and still,  

A light that's unseeing.  

 

It's the source of our thoughts,  

The wellspring of our soul,  

A force that's eternal,  

And yet, it's untold.  

 

It's the essence of life,  

The breath that we take,  

The love that we feel,  

And the choices we make.  

 

It's the voice of our heart,  

And the wisdom in our mind,  

A presence that's always there,  

Patient, gentle, and kind.  

 

So let us remember,  

In the midst of our strife,  

That only awareness is there,  

And it's the source of our life.
